Juan Cuevas has built a full-spectrum real estate career since 1998. It began as a residential leasing agent in New York City with New York City Apartments Inc., where he quickly became one of the firm's top-producing agents.
In 2003 he relocated to Houston and shifted his focus to the financing side of real estate, again earning top-producer status before being promoted to Head of the Commercial Lending Department, financing commercial properties across the market.
In November 2009 he was recruited by Marcus & Millichap, specializing in multifamily investment sales and becoming a nationally recognized multifamily investment specialist — closing over $184 million in multifamily investment sales. His command of market trends, underwriting and the micro/macro forces of commercial assets made him a rising star in the Houston multifamily market.
Drawn to alternative housing, he founded Uncontained Living, a premier container-home builder and modular supplier — converting RV parks into tiny-home villages and affordable-housing communities, and deploying specialty containers for self-storage. In 2022 he founded The Cuevas Container Company, which grew into a national retailer and later rebranded as Port Direct Containers.
Juan is a husband and stepfather of two, an avid sailor, kiteboarder, traveler and musician.
